Our Blog is called Reasons to Lose because all of us participating have different reasons for losing weight! It could be to get healthier, or feel better about yourself, maybe it is to have more stamina and energy or the good old fashioned 'I don't like my body and want to look better'. Whatever our reasons are, we have decided to come together and lose the weight! We are blogging about it to keep motivation up (no one wants to report they just ate their way through a second box of chocolates and gained 10 pounds this week...) and also maybe we will inspire our readers to make their lives better too!
New This Season
We are currently taking a break! You may see us update you all on our personal progress for the next few months but as far as the competition goes, we are on a hiatus.

About Amber
I was inspired by two of my sister-in-laws to start this blog. I have always struggled with insecurity and when I work out regularly (regardless of if I lose weight) I feel better(probably all those endorphins!) I want to eat better and get healthier too, and this blog will help me stay on top of my goals!

About Chantel
I tend to get sick often during the winter (and sometimes fall) seasons. And when I do get sick, I stay sick for a while. I'm hoping that doing a regular workout routine will help my immune system, so I can kick illness in the butt! I also have been wanting to work out regularly to get more toned, increase my confidence and have more energy. I know that with a good support system I'll be able to keep it up!
With everything I am responsible for at home, my ridiculous work schedule and my health problems, it makes it hard to keep working out on the front burner. But when I heard about this blog, I thought 'why not!'. I'm excited to get started and hopefully I won't die of exhaustion when this is all over!
Heléna, age 26
About Helena
I can't fit into my clothes! After getting married and being forced to eat my own cooking, I started gaining weight. The desk job didn't really help. I gained 30 lbs in the past year, and I can really feel it when I try to get dressed in the morning. I am really good at starting diet and exercise programs; but really bad at finishing them. And that's all about to change...

Good luck with your educational goals!
Thank you so much! And I am very pleased your were able to read the post through all of the weird symbols I accidentally wrote it in.
